Custom is in our name. Quality is in our products. Service is our reputation.

I have over 30 year experience working on and building motorcycles. After working in the automotive field for over 33 years I retired and opened my own motorcycle shop. I am a master ASE certified mechanic, certified Power Commander Dealer and certified Missouri state inspector.

I’m an Occupational Therapist and motorcycle shop owner. I handle donations, public relations, accounting, and purchasing accessories. Come by and see me, you’re bound to get a smile and a hug.

Raised on hotrods, I’ve been working with my dad (Jan) my whole life, learning the motorcycle trade from him. I’ve been featured in different magazines for my personal bike, which I built at 17. I do hand engraving, and I’m always looking for new things to learn in the motorcycle world.
Jim “Mr. Jim” ChildersAfter 31 years at GM, I finally followed my passion and went to work at a great motorcycle shop that believes in quality over quantity.

I believe that almost all of us who ride have a dream bike. You know the one you build over and over in your head adding chrome, changing paint colors and paint schemes, a new set of tins, a monster engine and the list goes on. Well, I had the opportunity to make my dream a reality with the craftsmanship of a great mechanic, Jan Knobbe, of Chariots of Fire Customs LLC, and an awesome painter, Doug Heflin, of Doug’s Custom Paint & Restoration.
