Changes by Reine and Parting Thoughts by Mr. Jim

Changes Are Here!

Well, we have been in the new shop for a year now and what a year it has been!  Thank you very much for all your support as we went through the move.  It has been very good for Chariots of Fire Customs LLC.  But with all moves come change.  We have decided to change our hours of operation a bit.  Instead of 10am-7pm Tuesday – Friday, we are now going to be open from 9am-6pm Tuesday – Friday.  Saturday hours remain the same:  10am-3pm.

Another big change is that Mr. Jim has decided to move on.  Read on for his parting thoughts:

Parting Thoughts from Mr. Jim

Over the last four and a half years I have had the privilege of working on a lot of different motorcycles and getting to know their owners. It has been a great honor to have worked on and rode your motorcycle. But all things change.  Just as Chariots of Fire Customs LLC has changed, so have I. The time has come for me to move on and go back in the direction from which I came. What I mean by that is that I am going to pursue a job that puts me back supervising people or projects.

Please do not try to read into this. I still consider Jan and Reine friends. It is time for a change. I need a new challenge. Chariots of Fire is growing, but not at a rate that would put me doing what I really enjoy, supervising people. So I must go out and find it before I get much older.

Unfortunately I still have a project that never got started that I wanted to do before I left; a ground up build of a dresser with all the bells and whistles. Maybe I can do that on the side after I get settled in a new job. I have been part of some real good builds over the last four and a half years at Chariots of Fire.

Most of all I wanted to thank all of the customers of Chariots of Fire that I have gotten to know over the last four and a half years.  It has been a privilege and an honor to serve you and your needs when it came to your motorcycle. I know you will continue to get great service on your motorcycle because Jan won’t have it any other way. Besides Tanner is a good young mechanic that will be a great mechanic within a couple of years.

You will still see me around Chariots of Fire. I will still hang out when I can and come to events like the chili cook off in October and when my schedule allows. By the way I am a judge for the chili cook off.

I will still be setting up Donna Sewing & Things and working with Donna at events like swap meets and fall festivals. So I hope to see you all at the Fall Festival Chili cook off October  26th at Chariots of Fire Customs LLC parking lot.
