2017 Softail Slim

Terry McVey’s 2017 Softail Slim didn’t stay a two-wheel bike for long. What started as a clean FLS platform was completely reimagined into a full custom trike, built from the ground up to deliver a different kind of ride. This isn’t a bolt-on conversion. It’s a transformation that changes how the bike looks, feels, and handles from every angle.

Taking a stripped-down Softail and turning it into a stable, road-ready trike requires more than parts, it takes planning, fabrication, and experience. Built entirely in-house at Chariots of Fire Customs, this project reshapes the bike’s foundation while maintaining the attitude of the original Slim. The result is a machine that keeps its character but gains a new level of confidence and usability on the road.

With a full dyno tune, the performance is dialed in to match the build—smooth power delivery, reliable response, and a ride that feels just as solid as it looks.
