Racing season coming to an end
Another racing season is slowly coming to an end.
I started this past weekend by showing our Super Gas and Funny Bike down at Doc’s Harley Davidson alongside Eddie Crawic and Andrew Hines, Pro Stock Harley racers. John Force and Rob Hight Funny Car Champions, were also there.
Saturday, September 27th, I went to Gateway International Raceway and enjoyed VIP passes into the pits and the Harley Davidson tent. I hung with my race team crew member, Doug Dillon, enjoying 9 hours of competitive drag racing. We were feet away from the staging lanes and came home smelling like sweet nitro.
Sunday, September 28th, I hung out with business associates and sponsors of our JAK Racing Team. We enjoyed watching the finals. At the end of the day Patty Bush of Doc’s Harley Davidson and I were asked to get pictures taken with Courtney Force, this weekend’s Nitro Funny Car Class winner.
As always, at any motoring event (drag races, shows, etc.) I love seeing people wearing Chariots of Fire Customs apparel and JAK Racing shirts. By racing we learn more about the boundaries of the Harley Davidson V-Twin motor and can then apply this knowledge to everyday street modifications.
I enjoyed talking with other racers and race team owners, sharing our knowledge and stories of how our year has gone. The motorcycle industry continues to grow and prosper as the passion for our sport knows no boundaries.
